Kegels aren't always the answer.

Some pelvic floors need strength. Some need release. Most need both — at different times. Pelvicode helps you describe what your floor is doing, then offers routines that match. A starting point you can take to your pelvic floor PT.

Why this exists 01

If kegels made you worse, you're not doing them wrong.

For decades, "do your kegels" was the only pelvic floor advice women got. But there's a whole category of pelvic floor that doesn't need more squeezing — it needs the opposite. A floor that's already too tight, too clenched, too on-guard — and squeezing it harder only makes the pain, the leaks, and the urgency worse.

Pelvicode was built by a DPT who actually treats both kinds of pelvic floors every week. It starts by figuring out which kind YOU have. Then it gives you what your body needs — strength, release, or the right balance of both.

Type 01
Hypotonic — too weak
A floor that doesn't hold like it used to. Often after pregnancy, surgery, or just time.
  • Leaking when you laugh, sneeze, or jump
  • Feeling heaviness or pressure
  • Loss of sensation
  • Trouble feeling your floor engage
Type 02
Hypertonic — too tight
A floor stuck in "on." Often missed entirely, even by clinicians who default to kegels.
  • Pain with sex, exams, or tampons
  • Urgency that doesn't match volume
  • Constipation or straining
  • Kegels making symptoms worse
02 · What's inside

The floor is yours. The path is personal.

01 · Start here

A real assessment, not a guess.

Most apps assume you need kegels. Pelvicode walks you through a short, guided self-assessment — symptoms, sensations, what makes things worse — and helps you describe what your floor seems to be doing. It's a starting point, not a diagnosis. The conversation with a pelvic floor PT is what confirms it.

  • 10-minute guided assessment, in your words
  • Helps you describe what your floor seems to be doing — tight, weak, or both
  • Reassessable any time — your floor changes, so should your plan
  • Includes flags for "see a pelvic floor PT" symptoms
02 · Daily practice

A practice that's actually yours.

Once you've shared what your floor seems to be doing, Pelvicode offers a daily routine designed to match. Floors that feel tight get release-first work — diaphragmatic breathing, downtraining, mobility. Floors that feel weak get strength-first work — graded loading, real kegels with proper form. Floors that feel like both get both, in the order your body seems to prefer.

  • Routines under 10 minutes — designed for actual life
  • Audio-guided breathing and engagement cues
  • Progression that responds to how you're feeling
  • Built around your cycle and sleep when relevant
03 · Progress

Progress that respects the floor.

Pelvic floor progress isn't linear. Some weeks are better than others. Pelvicode tracks what's actually changing — pain levels, leak frequency, urgency, sensation — and shows you the trend without making you feel bad on hard days. Just honest, kind data.

  • Quick post-session check-in (about 15 seconds)
  • Trends across pain, leaks, urgency, and sensation
  • Cycle-aware progression so flare weeks don't punish you
  • "Take a break" prompts when your body asks for one
04 · Your appointment

Walk in with the data.

When you see a pelvic floor PT, urogynecologist, or GP, generate a one-page summary of what you've been doing and what's changing. Floor type, current routine, pain trends, leak frequency, what's working and what isn't. They'll know more in a minute than they could ask in an appointment.

  • One-page PDF, formatted for clinical review
  • Floor type, routine, and 8-week trend on one page
  • Export anytime — your data, your file
  • Share via email, AirDrop, or print
03 · Who built it

"I built this for the women in my clinic who'd been doing kegels for years and felt worse. The body needed a different conversation."

— Founder, DPT

Built by a pelvic floor specialist.

Pelvicode is built by Epic Media, founded and led by a Doctor of Physical Therapy whose clinical specialty is pelvic floor and nervous system work. The whole reason this app exists is that most pelvic floor apps treat one kind of floor as if it's the only kind — and many women who download them end up worse off.

This is the tool the founder wanted her own patients to have between visits: clinically grounded, customizable to the floor you actually have, and respectful of the fact that healing isn't linear.

Common questions.

Don't see what you're looking for? Email hello@pelvicode.app.

Does Pelvicode diagnose my pelvic floor?

No. Pelvicode is a wellness app, not a diagnostic tool or medical device. The self-assessment helps you describe what your floor seems to be doing so you can talk about it with more clarity — and offers routines that tend to match each pattern. Any actual diagnosis or treatment plan belongs with a pelvic floor PT, urogynecologist, or your GP. We're built to help you arrive at that appointment more prepared.

I've been doing kegels for years. Why is this different?

Because kegels are the right answer for some pelvic floors — and the wrong answer for others. If your floor is already too tight, more squeezing can make pain, urgency, and dysfunction worse. Pelvicode starts with a self-assessment to help you describe what your floor seems to be doing, then offers routines that match. The diagnosis itself belongs with a pelvic floor PT — but you'll walk in with a much clearer description than "something feels wrong."

Is Pelvicode a replacement for a pelvic floor PT?

No. Pelvicode is a tool you use between visits — or before your first visit — to do the consistent daily work pelvic floors need. If your assessment flags symptoms that need hands-on care, we'll tell you and help you find a pelvic floor PT near you.

Does this work after pregnancy or surgery?

Yes — once you have medical clearance to begin pelvic floor work. Pelvicode is designed for postpartum, post-hysterectomy, post-prolapse-repair, and post-cancer-treatment use. The assessment accounts for your situation, and the program adjusts.

Can I use this with an existing pelvic floor PT?

Absolutely — and many of our beta users do. The doctor-ready report is built exactly for this. Your PT gets a clear picture of what you've been doing between visits, and your sessions can focus on what only hands-on work can address.

What conditions does this help with?

Common ones include stress incontinence, urge incontinence, urinary urgency, pelvic pain, painful sex (dyspareunia), pelvic organ prolapse symptoms, postpartum recovery, perimenopausal pelvic floor changes, and the pelvic floor work that often accompanies hip, back, or core rehab.

Do you sell my data?

No. We don't sell user data. We don't share it with advertisers. Pelvic health data is intimate, and our business model is the subscription — not your records. The full privacy policy will be published at launch.

When does it launch?

Pelvicode is targeting public launch later in 2026, following a private beta. Join the waitlist and you'll be invited to the beta first, with founding-member pricing locked in.
